PAICCM2025
the 18th Professor Alborzi International Congress of Clinical Microbiology
Dear Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 18th Professor Alborzi International Congress on Clinical Microbiology (PAICCM), which will be held from October 21th to October 23nd, 2025 in the beautiful city of Shiraz.
PAICCM is recognized as a prominent gathering in Iran for clinical microbiology and infectious diseases, dedicated to advancing this field through cutting-edge research, innovative solutions, and the exchange of valuable experiences.
Our mission remains: (1) to better understand pathogenic factors and pathogenesity of infectious diseases, (2) to achieve more effective prevention through immunization and expanding the infection prevention and control, (3) to diagnose infectious diseases more rapidly and accurately by introducing and implementing modern laboratory methods, and (4) to improve efficient and cost-effective treatment of infectious diseases by developing and promoting clinical guidelines and deploying antimicrobial stewardship programs in Iran, the Eastern Mediterranean region, and worldwide.
This year's congress will focus on a range of important topics including new developments in immunization and prevention and infection control; innovations in clinical microbiology covering medical bacteriology, virology, mycology, parasitology, and immunology related to infectious diseases; and practice guidelines for diagnosis and management of infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
We especially invite general practitioners, specialists, pharmacists, laboratory scientists, all medical students, residents in specialty and subspecialty fields, students at various academic levels in fields related to medical microbiology, nurses, and all researchers in medical microbiology and infectious diseases — integral parts of our society. The scientific committee has arranged sessions tailored to address the unique challenges faced by these key members of the healthcare team.
By hosting PAICCM, the Professor Alborzi Clinical Microbiology Research Center, as the center of excellence in clinical microbiology in Iran, will collaborate with domestic scientific societies, the Infectious Disease Control Department of the Ministry of Health, and Medical Education, and the National Vaccination Committee, bringing together renowned specialists from Iran, Switzerland, Belgium, the United States of America, Australia, Tajikistan and other countries to share knowledge and insights.
Our program includes keynote speeches, sessions, debates, presentations of research findings via oral and poster formats, opportunities for networking with experts, and workshops. Additionally, two major awards will be presented: the "Professor Alborzi Clinical Microbiology Award" and the "Professor Abdolvahab Alborzi Award in Infectious Diseases." Building on the success of previous congresss, we will also introduce new features aimed at enriching your experience and fostering more exchange of ideas.
We eagerly look forward to your participation in the 18th PAICCM and welcoming you to Shiraz. Please take this congress into your schedule for this year and prepare for an inspiring and enriching experience.
