The second Professor Alborzi Scientific Award in the field of infectious diseases will be presented at the "18th International Congress of Clinical Microbiology dedicated to Professor Alborzi," which will be held in Shiraz from October 21 to 23, 2025. The Fars Benefactors' Society for Nurturing Talents, in collaboration with the Fars Elite Foundation, unveiled this award for the first time in 2023, and the first award was presented at “the 17th Professor Alborzi International Congress of Clinical Microbiology” to the most outstanding thesis of the residency program.
This award is funded by benevolent donors and is presented annually to specialized and subspecialized assistants in various fields of medicine who have directly participated in a research project related to infectious diseases. These assistants must present the results of their research project to be eligible for the award.
A specialized working group consisting of professors from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, the Fars Benefactors' Society for Nurturing Talents, and the Fars Elite Foundation reviews the results of the submitted research projects each year. This award is bestowed annually during the Professor Alborzi International Congress of Clinical Microbiology to the research project with the most applicable results in solving problems related to infectious diseases.
